Chapter 1
“Damn it,” Julie cursed under her breath when the skin on her hand came into contact with the hot panini press. She turned to the sink and turned on the water.
“Did you burn yourself again?” Michael asked as he walked into the kitchen. Julie looked over her shoulder and gave him a disapproving look. The condescending tone in his voice was a little more than obvious. But then again, she always had an accident every time she used the panini press.
“A good morning to you too Dad,” she said with a smile. Michael looked at her and smiled.
“Why are you even making paninis in the morning anyway? Who has paninis for breakfast?” he asked as he poured himself a cup of coffee. Julie walked over to the refrigerator and took out a couple of ice cubes.
“Two words: day off,” she said as she crushed the ice in a towel and held it on her hand. Michael smiled.
“Well, I would think that you would have rather stayed at your place if you were having the day off,” he said before he took a sip of his coffee. Julie rolled her eyes at him.
“You know, if you didn’t want me over, all you had to do was just say so,” she said in the same voice her great grandmother used to speak in when she wanted to invoke guilt in her children. Michael smiled and then laughed.
“Yes, Nana. But seriously, you know you are always welcome here,” he said before he took another sip of his coffee. “So, what’s your plan for the day?” Julie shrugged and then took her paninis out of the press before she walked over to the table and sat down.
“Well, I will be going back to my place today. I’m sure the fumes are gone by now. I think I’ll just bum in front of the TV really,” she said as her father poured her a cup of coffee.
“Sounds like you have a pretty busy day,” Michael said smiling. She looked at him and shrugged.
“Hey, what can I say? I work hard and I rest harder,” she winked. Michael looked at her and frowned.
“Doesn’t the saying go something like work hard and play hard?” he asked. She smiled and nodded as she bit into a panini.
“That’s my version,” she said before taking another bite. Michael took one last sip and then picked the last panini from the plate. “Hey,” Julie said in protest.
“It’s barbecue turkey and cheese. I’m only human,” he laughed as he kissed her forehead and picked his keys before walking to the door. “Besides, my house, my food,” he said as he opened the door. Julie smiled and took another bite. “Love you,” Michael called out as he walked out.
“Love you too,” she called back, her mouth still full. She was glad her grandmother was not there. Talking with her mouth full was one of the things that warranted a lengthy tongue lashing from her.
Julie had been alternating staying at her father’s place, Steven’s and Meg’s, and all these in just two weeks while her place was being fumigated. She was actually exhausted from trying to please all three and unfortunately for her, she could not choose one at the expense of the other two. But luckily, she was now moving back to her place. She actually missed being in her own space. For the last two days she had been at her father’s, she had felt a little awkward. But then again, she had been feeling awkward around him since he told her that he was dating again. It was not that she was not happy for him or anything but…she had not seen him with anyone else except for her mother. Of course it had to be a little weird. When she was done with her breakfast, she went back to her room and packed up her stuff before she took a shower and changed into a pair of bright blue jeans and a pink floral sleeveless top. She held her hair in a loose bun and then went out to her car. The first stop would of course be her place. When she got to her car, she switched on the radio and a huge smile played on her face when she heard one of her favorite songs playing.
“This is turning out to be a great day,” she thought as she began singing along to One Republic’s Counting Stars. “Lately I been, I been losing sleep dreaming about the things that we could be,
but baby, I been, I been praying hard, said no more counting dollars we'll be counting stars. Yeah, we'll be counting stars…la la la…” she was still singing out loud when her phone rang. She put on her Bluetooth device and answered it. “Hello?”
“Julz? Are you in a club?” she heard Steven’s voice. She suddenly realized that she had not switched off the radio. She quickly turned down the volume and smiled guiltily almost as if Steven could see her.
“Hey, sorry about that. I’m driving,” she said.
“Whoa…that loud? Can you even hear someone honk at you?” he asked. She laughed.
“It’s not that loud,” she said.
“Where are you?” he asked.
“On the road. I’m headed to my place,” she replied.
“Is the fumigation done already?” he asked. Julie raised an eyebrow.
“Already? It’s been two weeks,” she said surprised.
“It seemed shorter to me,” Steven admitted.
“That’s because you could have me for days on end,” she joked.
“Anyway, do you think you could come over to my place at around seven?” he asked.
“Yeah, sure. Why?”
“I want to make you dinner. That’s all,” Steven said. She smiled as she looked at the road.
“What’s the occasion?”
“This world is not worth living if I need a reason to cook my girlfriend something every so often,” he said. Julie laughed.
“Fine, I’ll see you at seven,” she said.
“Great see you then. Can’t wait,” he said. She smiled.
“Can’t wait either,” she said before she hung up. She put the volume back up and then frowned. Counting Stars was over. “At least I missed it for Steven and not some dumb…” her words trailed off when she heard yet another one of her favorites. “This is the best day ever!” she shrieked as she once again began singing along. “Just put your hand on the glass, I'll be trying to pull you through, you just got to be strong…'Cause I don't wanna lose you now, I'm looking right at the other half of
me…”

Julie’s day off was actually busier than she thought it would be. Between going back to her place, cleaning up and then getting ready for dinner at Steven’s, she found that she barely had enough time to even catch a single episode of a Scandal rerun. But by around five in the evening, she had already come to terms with that. She could always catch up with Olivia Pope thanks to Tevo. By the time she was done with cleaning her place, she realized she had to take a shower and change into something else, probably a dress. Steven was the ultimate Englishman. Right down to the dressing up for dinner. At first it was something strange for her, but as time went on, she learnt to be used to it. By the time she was done dressing up, it was almost half past six. She knew that if she passed by the store to pick up a bottle of wine, she would be late, so she chose to take one bottle from her own collection.
When she got to his place, she smoothed down the front of her green floral print dress and then walked over to the door. She took a few minutes before she rang the doorbell to take in the beautiful scenery. She had said time and time again that Steven’s landscaping was top of the range and even though she had been there countless times before, she still had never gotten used to the place.
“Hi,” he said when he opened the door and then slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her close for a kiss.
“Hi,” she said when he pulled back.
“You look…divine,” he whispered.
“Thanks…you don’t look so bad yourself,” she winked, as she looked at his gray pinstripe pants and burgundy colored shirt. Actually, he looked hot. She held up the bottle she had brought and smiled. “I didn’t have time to go to the store…I just brought something from my house,” she said.
“I got you this,” he said shyly. She shrugged and returned the smile.
“Like I said, I didn’t have time to go to the store,” she repeated, as she walked into the house.
“Of course you didn’t,” he said. She turned and looked at him as she put her purse down on the table next to the door.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” she demanded. Steven held his one free hand up and shook his head.
“Nothing,” he said as he led them to the kitchen.
“So, something smells good. What are you making?” she questioned.
“Today, I thought we would try something Italian. Beef kabobs,” he said as he took a broiler pan out of the oven revealing beef chunks and vegetables on skewers. Judging by the sweet aroma, Julie knew that she was in for a treat. She inhaled deeply and smiled.
“I’m already hungry,” she admitted as she watched him drain the spaghetti. “Man you went all Italian, didn’t you?” she asked as she looked at him. He looked at her and grinned.
“Why the hell not?” Steven asked as he opened the bottle and poured two glasses of wine. She sat down and looked at him.
“So seriously, I know I asked you before, but I have to know, why are you being this romantic? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining,” she said as he handed her a glass. He smiled at her and then raised his glass.
“In the last two weeks I have had to share you with Meg and your father. Today, all I wanted was to have you to myself,” he told her with a smile. “To my gorgeous girlfriend,” he toasted before they both took a sip.
“Goddamn, you have great taste in wine,” she said as she swirled her glass and looked at the beautiful grape colored liquid inside. It had a beautiful oak finish, something she had never tasted before. “This is awesome,” she sighed before she took another sip of the wine.
“It should. That bottle is twenty five years old,” he explained smiling back. Julie’s eyes grew wide.
“Twenty five years? That must have cost a billion bucks,” she gasped. He looked at her and laughed.
“I won it in a game of poker. And it was only around nine hundred,” he said. Julie scoffed and then took another sip.
“If I had the time, I would have probably spent fifty bucks,” she said. He looked at her and smiled and then carried the two plates to the dining room. She kicked her shoes off and followed him into the dining room, just as he was putting on some music. “You are really getting the mood set for something,” she said as he placed the two plates on the table. He turned and looked at her. “What? Am I wrong?” she asked.
“No, yes…maybe. Who knows? Now come over here and eat up before it gets cold,” he said as he pulled a seat for her. A smile played on her lips as she sat down. He walked to the other side of the table and took a seat. “Bon appetit,” he said with a smile. She looked down at her plate and then picked up a skewer. She could tell that it probably tasted as good as it looked…or better, and she was right. The first bite was enough to get her tongue in an orgasm of flavors. She had never seen anyone make beef kabobs and spaghetti but Steven, the culinary genius he was made it work. Julie had to admit that this was the best dinner date she had ever been to thanks to the food and his perfectly crafted words. She was right. He was setting the mood for something and by the time they were finished, she knew exactly what it was. He had spent almost half an hour telling her what he wanted to do to her, and how he wanted to do it. When he began clearing the table, she stood up to help him, but when she got to the kitchen, he stood behind her and held her waist.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“What are you doing?” Steven replied in a whisper.
“Helping,” she said as she placed the glasses she had in her hand in the sink.
“I invited you, not the other way around,” Steven said as he turned her around. “I thought you would be a good girl and wait for me to bring you dessert.”
“And what’s for dessert?” she asked as she turned around. Steven looked at her and smiled.
“Right now, you,” he said before he kissed her. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around him as they kissed. She let out a soft moan when she felt his hand drop down to cup her ass. She loved the way his tongue and hers danced in her mouth. He pulled away gently and looked into her eyes. “I told you everything I wanted to do to you. I want to do it to you right here,” he said as he held her close.
“Why don’t you?” she asked in a whisper as she looked at him. A smile played on his lips and he kissed her again. She looked into his as he suddenly turned her around and bent her over the counter. She was taken aback, unsure of what she was supposed to say at that moment. She felt him standing behind her, prompting a thrill down her spine. She felt him slowly caressing her as he slowly lifted the dress to her waist. He then pulled down her panties making her moan softly. He spanked her gently as he lifted his hand to cup her breast. He then turned her around and kissed her before he led her to bed. “What happened to taking me in the kitchen?” she teased.
“There are things I want to do to you, things that would not be advisable to do in the kitchen,” he said as he pushed the dress off. “Corners and all,” he added before he pushed her down on the bed. She smiled as she watched him quickly taking off his own clothes before he joined her on the bed. She closed her eyes and moaned softly as he rubbed her nipples gently. He could smell her arousal and even though he knew that he would have wanted her to take him if he was in her position, he wanted to savor the moment. He looked down at her as he slid a finger into her, testing her wet depths. She gasped and moaned as she felt him delve deep inside her. The way he was pushing his finger in and out of her was almost too much for her. She moaned and held on to the bedding as his thrusts got deeper and more persistent. He put his thumb on her clitoris and rubbed her making her moans turning into short cries for mercy. All she wanted was to get him inside her, to have him fuck her long and hard. When he pulled his finger out of her, she moaned her disapproval. He lifted his finger to her lips and she took it in ever so willingly. The way she was sucking on his finger made him wish that she would be lower on the bed, sucking on another part of him. The warmth of her mouth was too much for him to take. He pulled his finger out of her mouth and then
lifted her legs, putting them on either shoulder before he aligned himself with her entrance. She looked up at him as he entered her in one long stroke making her moan. He looked down at her as he began moving himself in and out of her, slowly at first and then harder and faster as he went on. It did not take long before he began slamming himself against her with everything he had. The position he had her in made it almost impossible for her to squirm or writhe. He had her in the most perfect position, a position that declared he owned her. She wanted to cry out loud, but all she could do was hold on for dear life. She let go for a second, but his hard powerful thrusts almost sent her over the bed. Just then she realized that she had as much a part to play as he did.
“Don’t let go, you naughty girl,” he ordered as he fucked her even harder than before.
“Oh shit!” she suddenly cried out as she felt herself exploding. “Don’t stop!” she screamed as he went on slamming himself against her pelvis over and over until he also felt himself tipping over the edge. She watched him as she slid her legs off his shoulders. What she was feeling at that moment was almost divine. He collapsed next to her and looked at her. “You were right. The kitchen would have been a bad idea,” Julie said looking at him.
“I hope you still feel strong enough,” he said with a smile.
“Why?” she asked.
“Because I have only just begun,” he winked as he got on top of her.
Chapter 2
Julie looked at her desk and sighed. She had only been out of the office for a couple of days, but her desk looked like she had not been at work for weeks. She was still looking at her desk when Dana walked up to her.
“Oh, thank God. I was wondering what time you would get here,” she said as she looked at Julie who looked at her and scoffed.
